I have a 13 year old Westie who is finding all the change during the Covid virus very unsettling. We are trying the chews to see if they help and so far he is ok but difficult to tell with these strange times. He doesn’t like the chews as a treat so we crumble them onto his food and he eats them that way.

During the quietness of the Covid-19 lockdown one of our rescue dogs has found the quietness quite un-nerving. Whenever she hears the slightest noise she would bark. This would then set our other dog off and it would take a while to settle them. Tessie has always been a timid dog and it took us a few months to gain her trust after adopting her from a rescue charity so we thought we would try these chews to help her remain calm and not see the noises as a threat.
We saw a change fairly quickly (we split the dose between breakfast and lunch to cover more of the daytime as that is when more of the noise happens) and she seems calmer but without losing her alertness and character. We are now in conjunction with the chews attempting to ‘re-train’ the bark to alert then stop when given the ‘enough’ command. So far so good…

We visited Crufts this year and we came across Broadreach Nature and the natural supplements. We were looking for something to give our 3 year old Springer Spaniel Bo which would calm him but not make him drowsy and not himself. We have been to the vet but wanted something with less chemicals in it. We purchased the Calming Duo Pack and so far have been using the chews in the evening which is when Bo is more hyperactive. We find that 2 isn’t quite enough so he has 3 which is just enough to take the edge off the liveliness and although he is the only one who needs them our other 2 dogs who are 8 year old Pattendales like the smell so they get one each as well.

Really impressed with these chews! Our Collie, Jess, would normally be excessively shaking and drooling, also have a very fast heart beat when fireworks go off. We tried these chews to see if they would help and gave them as it was getting dark. Jess was so much calmer, she wasn’t drooling and shaking, her heartbeat was more like her normal rate and other than being a bit nervous of the noise she was calm enough to go to sleep.

I tried out the calming tablets/drops for my nervous border collie, and they worked amazingly! He was clearly a lot more relaxed around loud noises and stressful situations. He also seemed a lot less stressed on a car journey- he was panting less and slept the whole way! The broadreach team was really helpful throughout too.
