Since it is Walk Your Dog Month we thought we would share some great Dog Walking Accessories for those dark and cold mornings or evenings, after all not all of us having the privilege of walking in the middle of the day.
It’s important to be safe and seen
You could either choose from reflective coats, collars and leads or those that light up. Some of the products we really like are:
WEATHERBEETA – Comfitec Reflective Parka 300D Dog Coat
Reflective Dog Lead – 1.3M reflective lead to ensure good visibility at night
Human high vis vest – Don’t forget to make sure you are also visible in the dark – you are just as important
After your walk
Of course, being in the UK in winter means the likelihood of rain and cold so a great suggestion is to keep a towel or microfibre cloth in your car or porch to make sure you give your dog a good rub down should they get wet.
Afterall giving your dog a good rub will help them warm up faster and prevent water getting everywhere.
It is also important to clean your dogs paws after a winter walk – with the likelihood of frost anti-freeze can be dangerous to dogs and they may pick this up on their paws while out. There are many products on the market for helping clean your pets paws.
