Dr Barbara Fougere
Our Award Winning In House Veterinary Expert and Technical Lead
Broadreach Nature are excited to introduce the award winning Dr Barbara Fougere as our in house Veterinary Expert and Head of our Technical Team.
Dr Barbara Fougere (BSc BVMS (Hons) MODT MHSc (Herb Med) BHSc (Comp Med) Adv Dip WHM, Grad Dip VCHM, Grad Dip VWHM, Grad Dip VA) graduated from Murdoch in 1986 and her integrative practice is based in Sydney Australia. She is a lead faculty member for the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies and lectures on integrative medicine all over the world.
Dr Barbara Fougere is the past Chair of the American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine, current committee member and board member of the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association.
She has been a veterinary herbalist and acupuncturist for more than 20 years and has authored textbooks on herbal medicine.
Her professional honours include;
- 2017 Finalist Pet Plan Veterinarian of the Year (and 2017 Finalist Veterinary Practice of the Year)
- Outstanding Leadership Award by the World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, (2015)
- 2010 Practitioner of the Year Award 2010 (AHVMA)
- 2011 Educator of the Year Award 2011 (AHVMA) for education in Integrative Medicine.
